(Bass Guitar; Backing and Lead Vocals)

Phil joined STEAL DAWN in December of 2001. The first show he ever played with the band was a New Year's Eve Party. Phil first taught himself how to play drums at age 12 on his brother's kit. He would sneak into his room when he wasn't home. At age 14, he transitioned to bass. It was easy since he had already developed an ear for complex rhythms and had gained a solid understanding where the bass notes fit in. He joined his first band back in 1979, called The Pacific Crest Band. He played bass, and with his brother on drums, they played all the high school parties in the La Presa area of Spring Valley. From there, he joined a band called Orion at age 16. He had to ditch school on Fridays to drive out to Arizona to play the military clubs.

In 1981, Phil met Jerry Schoen and played in groups called "Morning Star" and "Diversion". They played together until 1986. He also played with Icri's Witch from 1993 to 1997, and appeared on their first CD entitled "In For The Kill".

Phil has performed in groups opening for several top 70's arena acts like Foghat, Sammy Hagar, Molly Hatchet, Ronnie Montrose and Peter Wolf and is also a founding member of Billy Midnight and The Chlorine Cowboys, and appears on their CD "Live at the Trade Winds". Phil's influences include Rocco Prestia of Tower Of Power, Mars Cowling of the Pat Travers Band, Geddy Lee of Rush, and of course Gene Simmons of KISS.  Phil's solid rhythm, and great harmony and lead vocals, round out the full vocal sound that STEAL DAWN is known for.
